I’ve got a 50K race on Saturday this week, so it’s normal to taper a bit. However, not running since last Saturday is probably not the way to go. I was going to run Tuesday morning but had some stomach issues, so I’ll try again Wednesday. My mileage curve for the year has taken a decidedly flatter direction.
Not much else to say about it, but as many people know, it’s hard to have a big race early in the year, and then try to keep ramped up for a long time after. I knew I was in for a bit of a slowdown, but I’m a little miffed that it’s been as much as it has been. Once the Spring Superior 50K is done on Saturday I have quite a few months to get moving again before my next big race. I’ve got a couple half marathons in June and July, but hopefully I’ll be able to get back into a rhythm again.
