Quick review: Snipperclips

When we first got our Nintendo Switch we quickly discovered a fun little indie game called Snipperclips. The gist of the game is that you and your partner are two shape, and you have the ability to ‘snip’ each other into other shapes. You then use your unique forms to do various challenges. Those challenges range from making shapes to shooting objects out of a cannon towards objectives.

It’s a super fun co-op experience as you need to work together to solve the puzzles, and depend on each other to get through the levels. There have been a ton of different times when we’ve had to really think creatively to come up with a solution. It often involves cutting and re-cutting each other’s shapes to fit the purpose, or standing on each other’s heads to reach particular items. Overall, it’s a really fun way to hang out for a bit in the afternoon with my youngest.

We played it for a few weeks when we got the Switch, and they just came out with DLC last week. It’s been great to revisit it and try new mechanics and challenges. If you’ve got a Switch, I’d encourage checking it out and then grabbing a partner for some fun times.
