I was gone from work for a few days this week, after having been gone on vacation before that. It’s not really surprising how disruptive that this can be mentally. Just wading through 100’s of emails when you return takes hours. Plus, realizing that you haven’t been at many different meetings and need to get caught up on everything that is going on.
On the upside, I was actually anxious to get back into the office today because I knew that I needed to get some things done. Lately, I’ve been more prone to dread returning to work after a break, but this time I felt like it was time to get back to it. I’m sure I’ll be sick of it again in a few days, but it was nice to not face the morning with fear and loathing.
As a bonus, I put a picture of a bunny as the header of this post. He was enjoying all the seed that feel from our bird feeder this morning.
