It’s funny to see how many people leave town during the summer. Friday morning I took the bus into work and it was only 1/3 full. One of the stops didn’t even have any people waiting at it. It gets quiet around the office too, with people taking vacations and getting out and about.
Now that we’ve gotten our big vacation out of the way this year it means the day-in and day-out of regular life. Simple pleasures of grilling burgers for the family, and enjoying a movie at home. We showed the boys Shawshank Redemption, which is a classic of great storytelling. We might hit a theater Saturday, since there’s lots of cool new stuff to see, or we might just get chores done around the house.
Otherwise, it’s a quiet time of life. Soon enough the summer will be gone and life will get even more crazy, but for now it’s pretty slow.
