With the start of April, also begins a new season of biking to breweries on Wednesday nights. A couple of years ago I was invited by my friend Michael to join his little band of bikers as they visited various breweries, and I’ve been a regular participant ever since. It’s been a wonderful distraction mid-week, to get out of the house and get on my bike for some socialization and beer.
This week we kicked off our year at a local brewpub that was just 3 miles away. This works well when the weather is still a slight bit chilly, and we don’t want to ride too far. However, it was a beautiful night and we ended up with so many people that we flooded the restaurant and had to take over the patio. They had a fire going, and it was light enough to stay out until close to 8pm before heading back. We had an amazing time hanging out and drinking pretty good beer.
It was a wonderful way to kick off a new season of biking!
