I’ve been spending the last week or so battling a summer cold. There was one going around the office, so I assume that’s where I picked it up. It hasn’t knocked me on my butt completely, and I’ve been working from home a bunch, but it still sucks. Summer colds are the worst, since it’s nice outside and you want to get out and do things, but you don’t feel quite up to it.
I did manage a bike ride last night, and that felt good, but I still feel like this is hanging on. It’s also throwing my running game off tremendously. I haven’t run in a week, and I know next week will be tight with the Superior Trail Races going on. Hopefully, my biking along with my running base, will be enough to get me through my pacing duties at the race, and get ready for my fall races.
For now, it’s back to sniffling and sneezing and trying to manage to keep life moving.
I won’t “like” this, because Summer colds really are terrible.
