Too much bad news

Today is one of those days where you just want to shut the world out. The terror attacks in France, and the lockdown in Belgium. The police shooting in Minneapolis, with the subsequent protest that generated more shootings last night. Russian jets getting shot down by Turkey.

The whole world seems to be in a bad state right now, and it’s disheartening. This is all compounded by the days getting shorter and darker and colder, as we transition into the winter season. My friend Wes told me to take a pic of something happy, and share that. So that’s what I’m doing.

In the midst of all of the evil in the world, I dropped off a bunch of clothing and shoes to my step-sister-in-law, who works with a charity and can put them to good use. It doesn’t sound like much, a few items my wife and I were ready to get rid of, but it’s something good in a world that seems to want to just keep tearing itself apart.
