At Elm Creek Park there is a 7 mile horse trail that is a common place to find me running. It snakes around various parts of the park and up and down some decent hills. The first times I ever ran on this trail it was winter time and my memories are of scenes from on top of the hills looking through the barren trees at the lake below or the bike path where runners and bikes are zipping by. Over the summer I came to discover how different this path was when all of the foliage is grown in. The vistas are non-existent, instead replaced by a lush green canopy.
Today I got back to the trail after a busy Fall running season and because all the leaves have dropped, I was treated to the same scenery again. Tonight’s creation is a shot from on top one of my favorite hills.
