This Saturday is Grandma’s marathon and so I’ve been ramping down my training in a proper taper. Today was just a simple 2 mile jog to keep the legs loose. Beyond obsessing over elevation charts to make sure I understand what I’m facing (mental game I play in my head while doing long runs), there’s not much left to do to get ready. It’s just time to run.
This race really felt like it snuck up on me, but in some ways that’s good. Gives me less time to worry about if I’m ready or not. I’ve done two marathons before, so lets bring on number 3.
