Argh… my excuse for missing yesterday is either
A) I was still getting back into normal life after our trip and forgot.
B) I was too busy playing Minecraft and forgot.
C) I had honestly thought I had written one, but apparently hadn’t.
D) All of the above.
So here’s my first of what will hopefully be two posts today.
This weekend after our trip I was supposed to run a 15 mile training run. Because we didn’t get in until 1:30am Saturday morning, I decided to make it a 10 mile run on Sunday. Then I started running Sunday morning and realized that even 10 wasn’t going to happen. My legs were completely seized up and tight and sore from the trip. Running up Red Rock Canyon was brutal, and it did a huge number on my muscles. Which in the end will be good as it was a big strength builder.
Then when you add to that a good 8 hours or so walking The Strip, and my legs were shot. So after a couple miles I turned around and did a modified route that got me just under 6 miles. I also walked a good portion of those six miles. Last night was stretching, and today will be more of the same trying to get back on track.
Oh ya, and I need to sign up for Fall Superior 26.2 today….
