The other day we were in Boulder City, NV, which is the town that was created to support to the building of the Hoover Dam. It’s a place where I ran a race a few years ago, and ended up suffering heat stroke. In that first trip, years ago, I passed out in the bathroom and never got a chance to eat and drink at Boulder Dam Brewery. This time, I got a chance to have a great burger, and sample some solid beers.
When we finished eating we headed to a local park to see if any of the bighorn sheep had come down to graze. Sure enough a dozen or so sheep were hanging around and enjoying a beautiful day. They were mostly comfortable with my presence, and that afforded me the opportunity to take some shots with my 300mm lens. The shot below is one of my favorites, and I’m rather proud of it. I’ve also posted a full album of all the shots of the sheep.
I love bighorn sheep. Beautiful pics!
