Create-a-thon checkin

I’m quickly approaching 75% completion of my goal of blogging every single day of 2015. It’s been an interesting experience so far, and for the most part I’ve managed to hold to the discipline. I’ve been able to put together a lot of posts on photography, beer, video games, and tons of posts on running. It seems like I usually can come up with something to say, most of the time.

I have noticed that lately, it’s been more and more of a struggle to come up with interesting things to talk about, and I don’t think it’s because of lack of things to say, but with the time to put the thoughts into a cohesive whole. When I started this endeavor I was working in a job that allowed me a lot of time to think and contemplate. My new job is much busier and filled with a lot of other things that take up space in my mind. Trying to find something that I can think about for more than a few minutes can be challenging.

However, I’m approaching the finish line in this experiment. I will have a lot more to talk about with running as I finish up my race season, and hopefully there will be more beer to try and talk about. I’m proud of how far I’ve made it so far, and I’m looking forward to finishing out the year strong.

Beer, running, and geeky things.

  1. I cannot recommend Scrivener enough for this. You can jot thoughts down and chew on thoughts a while before feeling the need to make them public. Also, there’s a deal out there to purchase it for $20. Great investment.
