One of the most hotly anticipated games of the Fall is Nintendo’s Mario Maker. Timed to coincide with Mario’s 30th anniversary, Mario Maker allows anyone to create Mario levels from oodles of different elements from all the different games. Ever since this game premiered my youngest son has been super excited to get it. Last Friday we downloaded the game and already it’s provided tons of hilarious entertainment as we make levels for each other to try and beat.
One of the things that I love is how you can embody all the different Mario graphic styles, from the original 8-bit version, to the latest Super Mario Wii U. This means that you can re-create classic levels with a new art style, and then add in your own flavor with giant piranha plants and random Goombas.
The game is a ton of fun, and I can’t want to keep unlocking more elements to play with.
