Plain water. I usually don’t drink just water unless I’m looking specifically at hydrating, such as during a run. When I go out to eat I get a glass of water (if I’m not drinking beer), but I usually don’t touch more than I need to facilitate eating. However, I can often be found downing many cans of mineral water in a day. The addition of carbonation, and a hint of flavor essence is all it takes to get me to drink my recommended daily intake of H2O.
Lately I’ve been noticing an explosion of new flavors available and I’ve been having fun trying many of them. One of the favorites for me right now is a coconut flavor one made by LaCroix. I know a lot of people either love or hate coconut, and I’m someone who quite enjoys it.
The other benefit to mineral water is that it stops me from drinking sugary drinks during the day at work. Those are calories I would rather spend on another water substitute… beer 🙂
