I mentioned in yesterday’s post about doing something fun last night, and this is the explanation. Last night the Minnesota Zoo had a preview event for their new Monk Seal exhibit, and it was an adults-only event. They had food and a cash-bar, and you could wander throughout all the paths in the zoo without fear of getting run over by strollers. Don’t get me wrong, I love taking my kids to the zoo, and always have, but it was nice to have a night where my wife and I could tour in relative quiet. All of the biologists were willing to talk about everything behaviors that the animals were doing in more mature scientific detail. They could also be more frank with talking about some of the mating activities that were taking place, since it is springtime.
Needless to say it was a great time, and I made sure to bring the camera along with the zoom lens. The full album is over 90 pictures, so I’ll just provide a link to the flickr album here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/60235899@N00/sets/72157652915038469/
Below are a handful of the best shots to view in the blog.
