Winter in Minnesota is a fickle beast, and has become more so in recent years. Yesterday the temperature was in the mid-20s. Overnight a brutal wind swept through, bringing a bitter cold front with it. This morning I woke up to -2 degrees (F).
Yet in the deepest cold there is opportunity. This morning I took out the old DSLR and wandered around my backyard. There is a beauty in the complete and utter frozen air, crisp and biting to the skin. So today’s creation is a couple of pictures of the frozen tundra that I currently call home.

I really like these images. What lens did you use?
It’s a Sigma 18-50mm, 3.5-5.6 on an old Pentax K100D
